ANOTHER WOMAN HAS DENIED GIVING MICHAEL PHELPS LOVE:
It's official: MICHAEL PHELPS is the RODNEY DANGERFIELD of the Beijing Olympics. The guy scores EIGHT gold medals and sets several world records, and he STILL gets no respect from the ladies. Australian swimmer STEPHANIE RICE who won three golds herself is denying rumors that she made out with Phelps at a post-Olympic party in Beijing. But she wasn't nearly as nasty about it as AMANDA BEARD was. Stephanie went on to say, quote, "It was great to see him and meet people you usually see on TV. For me, Michael Phelps is a real inspiration and someone you really look up to." ____________________________________
NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN AND MICHAEL BOLTON HAVE BROKEN UP:
It's over between NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN and MICHAEL BOLTON. Nicollette's rep says, quote, "They have amicably ended their engagement. They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter." Nicollette and Michael dated for about a year and a half in 1993 and then got back together in 2005. They have no children, but they did sing a duet together called "The Second Time Around", for Bolton's 2006 album, "Bolton Swings Sinatra". ____________________________________
DID TOM BRADY BUY GISELE BUNDCHEN AN OVERPRICED $11 MILLION PLOT OF LAND???
Here's more evidence that all men regardless of their stature are POWERLESS OVER THE POON: TMZ says that Patriots quarterback TOM BRADY bought a three-acre plot of land for GISELE BUNCHEN in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles. And he paid $11 million for it. That's $11 million JUST FOR THE LAND. He still has to pay to put a house on it so Gisele can live there. JADA PINKETT SMITH and WILL SMITH might be expecting another child. Supposedly, she recently switched to a special, quote, "pregnancy diet", which includes no caffeine or sugar, and plenty of vegetables. MICHAEL LOHAN THINKS LINDSAY IS DRINKING AGAIN:
MICHAEL LOHAN thinks his daughter LINDSAY is drinking again and he blames her "girlfriend", SAMANTHA RONSON. Michael says, quote, "Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse. "Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn't working because she's always with Sam. Even my ex-wife knows about it. She just isn't doing anything about it." Lindsay's rep says, quote, "This is totally a lie and untrue." (--For the record, Lindsay is filming a movie as we speak, called "Labor Pains". And she'll make several appearances on "Ugly Betty" in the coming season.) By the way . . . Michael has confirmed sort of . . . that he's engaged to his girlfriend, Erin Muller. He says, quote, "We picked out a ring, but it's not official." Michael says he popped the question, and Erin accepted. But they're not officially announcing it yet because his father is dying of cancer and he's still waiting to find out if he fathered a child during an affair 13 years ago. He says, quote, "We're waiting for the paternity test and my father's situation to be resolved." ____________________________________
R. KELLY SAYS HE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A PLOT TO SWINDLE SOUTH AFRICAN INVESTORS:
R. KELLY just escaped child pornography charges. Now he's caught up in an alleged swindle of some South African investors. A South African woman is accused of scamming investors out of $130,000 in 2005, by telling them she was raising money for an R. Kelly concert. Sure, that doesn't link Kelly to the scam. But THIS might: The woman deposited the money into Kelly's bank account. Authorities found a deposit slip in the woman's office, and they have confirmed that the bank account the money went into is Kelly's. Kelly's people released the following statement yesterday quote, "There is absolutely no truth to the reports that R. Kelly received money from a South African woman accused of swindling investors by convincing them to invest in a nonexistent R. Kelly tour in 2005. "Mr. Kelly has no knowledge of this woman, has never received any money from her, and has not been contacted by any law enforcement authorities regarding the matter. "He will, of course, cooperate fully with any legitimate investigation of this matter, since he has nothing to hide." ____________________________________
BOBBY BROWN enjoyed a double Grey Goose while waiting for a flight at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday. The only problem is, it was 8:30 IN THE MORNING. Someone snagged the receipt as proof. ____________________________________
DR. DRE'S SON HAS BEEN FOUND DEAD:
DR. DRE'S son, Andre Young Jr., was found dead this past Saturday at his home in California. He was just 20 years old. His body was discovered by his mother . . . who called paramedics after she found him unresponsive in his bed. They were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene. There's no word on a cause of death. (--An autopsy was performed on Monday but nothing will be determined until toxicology tests come back, which could take weeks.) Andre's mom told police that he'd been out the night before with his friends, and didn't come home until 5:30 A.M. on Saturday morning. She found his body at 10:30 A.M. A spokesperson for Dr. Dre issued a statement saying, quote, "Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son, Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time." A JUDGE SENT DMX BACK TO JAIL . . . PROMPTING DMX TO SWEAR AT HIM:
DMX was in a Miami courtroom for an extradition hearing. There, he could have been freed from jail, and sent back to Arizona, where he faces . . . frankly . . . a TON of charges. But the judge in Miami wasn't having it, so he's staying. The judge denied DMX bond, which means that he'll go back to jail for at least a month . . . while he awaits a hearing on his FLORIDA-based drug possession charge, which is scheduled for October 2nd. After the judge read his decision, DMX was heard saying, quote, "I ain't going back to no (effing) jail." Naturally, the court wasn't pleased with that . . . and the judge responded, quote, "Oh, well that just ingratiated you to me." #1.) "Apocalypse Now" (1979): "Terribly acted, stilted, and somehow managed to be ludicrously over dramatic without any drama. Yet this movie is widely considered one of the 100 best of all time and is lauded for its star power."
#2.) "Clerks" (1994): "There were sections of this film that were hilarious, but there were twice as many that weren't funny at all. This was an impressive independent film, but nothing that should have achieved the near epic status it enjoys."
#3.) "Titanic" (1997): "A long and boring soap opera without good acting. Flat cardboard characters, and the all time cliché of a tragic love story between two star-crossed lovers."

CHARLIE SHEEN IS HAVING ANOTHER KID:
Given all the chaos that CHARLIE SHEEN and DENISE RICHARDS are putting their two young daughters through, you'd think the last thing either of them should do is bring more children into this world. Charlie doesn't agree. Charlie's new wife, Brooke Mueller, is PREGNANT. There's no word when she's due. This will be Brooke's first child, and Charlie's FOURTH. Charlie released a statement saying, quote, "Brooke and I are thrilled! She's the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for. Seeing her love and affection with those three, I know she'll be an amazing mom. "Unless I bat 100%, perhaps a boy awaits us." ____________________________________
JENNA JAMESON has confirmed that she's carrying mixed martial arts goon TITO ORTIZ'S baby. She says, quote, "It's still early, so I'm being cautious. I'm resting as much as possible. I'm so happy. "RAMPAGE" JACKSON HAS BEEN CHARGED FOR HIS BIZARRE POLICE CHASE LAST MONTH: Ultimate Fighting Troglodyte QUINTON "RAMPAGE" JACKSON has been charged for that bizarre incident last month in which he smashed into some cars with his monsterized pickup truck, then led police on a three-mile chase to Newport Beach, California. Rampage was charged with two felony counts: evading arrest while driving recklessly and evading a peace officer and driving against traffic. He was also hit with three misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run with property damage and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving. He'll be arraigned Thursday. He faces a maximum of three years in prison on all the charges. ____________________________________
ANDY DICK IS GETTING OFF RELATIVELY EASY FOR LIFTING UP A 17-YEAR-OLD GIRL'S SHIRT:
ANDY DICK is getting off relatively easy for lifting up a 17-year-old girl's shirt and bra outside a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murietta, California last month. Prosecutors have decided NOT to charge Andy with felony sexual battery charges. Instead, he's up on four misdemeanor counts: assault, possession of marijuana, possession of Xanax without a prescription and public intoxication. He'll be arraigned tomorrow. Meanwhile, the police report from the incident notes that Andy Dick PEED HIS PANTS as he sat in the holding cell following his arrest. The officer who was watching him wrote, quote, "I asked Dick why he didn't tell me he had to use the restroom Dick stated that he did not want to knock on the window like a caged animal." ____________________________________
THE SEVEN DUMBEST WAYS CELEBRITIES HAVE TRIED TO GO GREEN:
Cracked.com has come out with a list of The Seven Dumbest Ways Celebrities Have Tried to Go Green.
The top spot went to AL GORE'S Live Earth concerts which sent 150 musicians around the world IN PRIVATE JETS. According to Cracked.com, the artists were flown a total of 222,623 miles which pumped 31,500 tons of carbon emissions into the atmosphere. On a single day.

#3.) COLDPLAY Offsets Their Carbon Footprint Via Dead Trees. Coldplay decided to negate all the environmental damage their touring caused by planting trees including 10,000 mango trees in India. But according to Cracked.com, environmental groups say this DOESN'T WORK . . . because trees don't lock in carbon long enough to make a difference. Plus, all the mango trees Martin planted are pretty much DEAD now.
#4.) WOODY HARRELSON has "Vegan" clothes flown by private jet. Woody was playing in a charity poker tournament at the Cannes Film Festival this year, when he realized he had forgotten to pack his favorite "vegan" belt and shoes. So he had them flown to France from Los Angeles, via private jet. (Vegan clothes are just clothes that aren't made with any animal parts.)
#5.) SHERYL CROW uses one sheet of toilet paper per visit. Sheryl made a comment about how we should ALL use just a SINGLE SQUARE per bathroom visit. (--But she later said she was JOKING so unless you don't believe her, this one is kind of bogus.)
#6.) JENNIFER ANISTON brushes her teeth in the shower. Jennifer said she conserves water by brushing her teeth in the shower. But Cracked.com says that's even MORE wasteful. Dental experts say you should brush your teeth for about two minutes. Well, two minutes in the shower uses five gallons of water. But leaving your faucet running for two minutes only wastes about two gallons. And you don't have to leave the faucet on the whole time you brush your teeth.
#7.) PAUL MCCARTNEY got a Lexus hybrid which was flown to him from Japan via private jet. This one is pretty self-explanatory, but there are two things we should note: The car was actually a gift to Paul for doing promotional work for the company. His wife, KEELY SHAYE SMITH, is encased in a most delicious candy coating, and she has no qualms about showing it off. And Pierce is obviously still hittin' that. DID GWEN STEFANI AND GAVIN ROSSDALE NAME THEIR NEW SON AFTER A BEACH??? Most NORMAL people are still wondering why GWEN STEFANI and GAVIN ROSSDALE named their newborn son Zuma Nesta Rock. Well, the people behind "The Baby Name Bible" have it figured out. They say "Zuma" comes from Zuma Beach in Malibu. Apparently, Gavin had an epiphany on Zuma Beach years ago when he was working as a production assistant on music videos and trying to break in as a musician. After standing on the beach early one morning and figuring out that he was wasting his time, he, quote, "drove up the coast, slept in his car and started making the moves that would launch his career." "Nesta" is another link to Jamaica and reggae music just like the name of Gwen and Gavin's first son, Kingston. Nesta was BOB MARLEY'S first name, before an immigration official switched it with his middle name, Robert. As for "Rock" . . . that one's pretty straightforward. JASON LEE HAS ANOTHER OFFSPRING TO TRAUMATIZE WITH A TERRIBLE NAME: "My Name Is Earl" star JASON LEE is one of the most notorious baby-namers in Hollywood. Four years ago, he and his fiancée at the time, Beth Riesgraf, had a son together and named him PILOT INSPEKTOR. And now, Lee has a chance to cause life-altering trauma to yet another human being. Lee announced over the weekend that his CURRENT fiancée, Ceren Alkac, gave birth to a baby girl on the 10th of this month. WAS SHAQ HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH A FEMALE HIP-HOP ARTIST???
We don't know if this has anything to do with SHAQUILLE O'NEAL and his wife SHAUNIE almost getting divorced this summer, but Shaq just got hit with a restraining order by a female hip-hop artist who claims she had an affair with him. Alexis Miller who goes by the name MaryJane claims she had a six- to eight-month affair with Shaq, that ended on July 18th. She claims that Shaq has been stalking, harassing and threatening her ever since she pulled the plug on the relationship. Miller who's 23 years old says Shaq threatened to ruin her career by paying other rappers and musicians 50-grand not to work with her. Along those same lines, he allegedly sent her the following well-written e-mail quote, "I dnt no who (eff) u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me. Sho me." Miller also says that Shaq sent her, quote, "an unsolicited vulgar and offensive illustration of a man physically restraining a woman while forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse with him." Oh, and he's been calling her and breathing into the phone. There's a hearing set for next Thursday to determine whether the restraining order should remain in effect. Shaq and Shaunie filed for divorce last year, but decided to withdraw their petitions and try to work things out. Ironically, the dismissal of their divorce case was officially granted on Friday the same day Shaq was hit with the restraining order. ____________________________________
CHRIS KATTAN must not be trying to work things out with his wife of EIGHT WEEKS after all. He filed for legal separation on Thursday, citing irreconcilable differences. In his filing, Kattan notes that he and his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, had a prenuptial agreement. There's no word on the terms. ____________________________________

BRITNEY SPEARS FREAKED OUT BECAUSE KEVIN FEDERLINE WENT TO SHAR JACKSON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY:
KEVIN FEDERLINE was in Las Vegas over the weekend, to attend a birthday party for his ORIGINAL baby-mama, SHAR JACKSON. Just before the party, Shar said, quote, "We were friends before we were a couple and we're always going to be friends. We have two amazing kids together. Kevin is my boy." But she added that they WON'T be getting back together. She said, quote, "We have passed that stage." Someone who is apparently NOT "past that stage" is BRITNEY SPEARS. Apparently, Britney had the kids for an overnight so Kevin could attend the kickoff party for the "Madden '09" video game in Vegas. But when she found out that he also made an appearance at Shar's birthday party, she hit the roof. Sean Preston was apparently sick, and was taking some kind of medication. So Britney started off by using THAT to bother Kevin while he was at the party. According to the "National Enquirer", she started calling Kevin and leaving panicked messages on his phone, saying that Sean was whining constantly, and that she couldn't remember what meds to give him or how to work the thermometer to take his temperature. Kevin made some calls first to the bodyguard who accompanies the boys when they go to Britney's house, and then to Britney's dad. Both of them assured Kevin that Sean was FINE. So Kevin ignored her calls. She ended up testing him throughout the night, but he blew off those messages, too. ____________________________________

Gwen and Gavin also have a 2-year-old son with the comparatively normal name Kingston. (--Gavin also has a 19-year-old daughter from a previous relationship but he didn't know he was her dad until a paternity test was done in 2004.) ____________________________________
WINONA RYDER is doing what any one of us would in her situation: She's totally denying the rumor that she's dating TOM GREEN. Her rep says, quote, "Winona does not know Tom Green at all. No 'date' was had." ____________________________________
This is how serious SCARLETT JOHANSSON is about BARACK OBAMA'S quest for the presidency: She won't marry RYAN REYNOLDS until after the election in November, because her brother works for the Obama campaign. RICKY MARTIN announced yesterday that he is the father of newborn twin boys. The kids were actually born a few weeks ago, via GESTATIONAL SURROGACY. Ricky's rep says, quote, "The children are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care. "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children." No other details have been released. Now, "gestational surrogacy" means that the woman who carried the children is NOT the biological mother. Ricky's rep didn't identify the biological mother or the surrogate for that matter. To tell you the truth, yesterday's statement doesn't even technically say that Ricky is the biological father to these boys. MICHAEL VICK IS LOSING $12,000 A MONTH IN PRISON:
Not that he's likely to find much sympathy but MICHAEL VICK filed papers this week in his bankruptcy case that say he's losing $12,000 a month while he serves his prison sentence for dog-fighting. Vick told the court he has monthly expenses of $12,225 and a monthly income of $277.69. That's a difference of $11,947.31. That 277 bucks is from a, quote, "benefit pension plan", and does not include the 12 CENTS AN HOUR he earns in prison wages. Vick who filed for Chapter 11 last month listed his total assets at $10 million . . . but his liabilities total $19 million. ____________________________________
21-year-old Simon Herbert . . . the man who caused SHIA LABEOUF'S accident last month has been ticketed for running a red light. Shia was arrested for driving under the influence at the time of the accident. Amanda was on the phone from Beijing, obviously and when she was asked about the rumors, she made it extremely clear that Michael Phelps is NOT her type. She even went so far as to say she wouldn't date him because she has, quote, "really good taste". She also very emphatically said, quote, "I have never, ever in my life hooked up with Michael Phelps." Then one of the hosts suggested that Michael has a thing for Amanda and that he may have MADE LOVE TO HIMSELF while looking at Amanda's nude "Playboy" spread. Amanda's response to that was, quote, "Ew. That's nasty." Amanda Beard may be off the table for Michael Phelps . . . but perhaps LINDSAY LOHAN isn't. CHRISTINA APPLEGATE HAD BOTH BREASTS REMOVED:
CHRISTINA APPLEGATE was on "Good Morning America" yesterday and she shared a little more information about her battle with breast cancer. Most notably, Christina didn't just have a cancerous lump removed from her breast she had BOTH BREASTS COMPLETELY REMOVED. (That's called a double mastectomy, FYI. She had it about three weeks ago.) It wasn't immediately necessary to have both breasts removed. Christina only had cancer in ONE breast. But she said, quote, "I didn't want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. "I just wanted to kind of get rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made and it was a tough one." Christina will have several surgeries over the next eight months to reconstruct her breasts. She said, quote, "I'm going to have the best boobs in the nursing home. And you know, I'm going to have cute boobs till I'm 90." ____________________________________

It all started when Carrie told "Allure" magazine that TONY ROMO her EX-boyfriend and Jessica's CURRENT boyfriend still calls her. Tony already expressed his anger over those comments. And now it's Jessica's turn. Jessica went off on Carrie yesterday morning during a radio interview. When the host told Jessica he thought Carrie's comments were CLASSLESS, Jessica said, quote, "I do too. I don't understand why she would say that. Because I respect Carrie and I would never say anything like that. "Tony was upset about it, too. CHRISTINA APPLEGATE SAYS SHE'S CANCER-FREE: This is the best advertisement for early detection I've ever heard: CHRISTINA APPLEGATE was just diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago. But yesterday on "Good Morning America", she said she's already undergone surgery, and she's now 100% CANCER FREE. She said, quote, "I'm clear. Absolutely 100% clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer." As for her mental state when she found out she had cancer, she said, quote, "I was so mad. I was just shaking and then also immediately, I had to go into 'take-care-of-business-mode' "I asked them, 'What do I do now? What is it that I do? I get a doctor, I get a surgeon, I get an oncologist? What do I do?' I immediately made those appointments and immediately called around for someone to teach me how to live macrobiotically." Christina who's 36 has been getting mammograms since the age of 30, due to a history of cancer in her family. Her mother had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery when Christina was 7. She later had a hysterectomy. Before her diagnosis, Christina had been booked to appear on the one-hour special "Stand Up to Cancer" which will air simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS on September 5th. ____________________________________

About 3,000 people attended a public memorial for ISAAC HAYES at the Hope Presbyterian Church in Memphis yesterday. Celebrities in attendance included fellow Scientologists TOM CRUISE, KELLY PRESTON and ANNE ARCHER, Plus musicians CHUCK D, BOOTSY COLLINS and DOUG E. FRESH, Actors DENZEL WASHINGTON, WESLEY SNIPES and RICHARD ROUNDTREE (Roundtree starred in "Shaft". Isaac won an Oscar and a Grammy for writing the movie's theme song.) And the Reverends AL SHARPTON and JESSE JACKSON. Jackson said, quote, "He was a lovely man, always involved with causes. Literacy, civil rights. He was always there, and that's why we're all here for him. Thank God for Isaac living 65 years and making a difference in our lives." ____________________________________

For this, "Self" magazine has named Jennifer the Most Inspiring Woman of 2008. She says, quote, "It actually came up when I was about eight months pregnant and I was beached like a whale. I was watching TV and I saw a triathlon and I said, 'You know what? I think I could do that, that would be great for me to do. Maybe I'll do it in a year.'" THE JONAS BROTHERS WENT TO THE WHITE HOUSE YESTERDAY AND MET DICK CHENEY'S GRANDDAUGHTERS:
Maybe DICK CHENEY isn't completely evil after all. THE JONAS BROTHERS were at the White House yesterday to attend a briefing on diabetes and tape a public service announcement about national parks. And Cheney actually brought his three granddaughters in to meet them. There's no word how the meeting went. The briefing on diabetes was especially important to NICK JONAS who was diagnosed with it when he was 13. He said, quote, "A lot of kids feel lonely when they first get diagnosed with diabetes. "I'm just so encouraged at the end of the day because all I'm trying to do is make it through another day managing diabetes. They're just doing the same thing. We're all there for each other." JOE and KEVIN JONAS are of voting age, by the way but they're not endorsing a candidate. But Kevin says, quote, "We do endorse voting, getting to know the issues, learning about the candidates and making a decision for yourself." ____________________________________
CHARLIZE THERON may have finally quit her smoking habit. Her longtime boyfriend, STUART TOWNSEND, quit recently, and started putting the pressure on Charlize to follow his lead. But she was afraid she'd put on weight if she quit so he hired her a yoga instructor to help her keep the weight off and she's been smoke-free for about a month. ____________________________________
